'My Life'

This section is dedicated to the autobiography 'My Life' written by Glade Jorgensen. It is a 230 page novel (about 500 with image pages) Glade hand pecked on his typewriter. he then scanned a couple hundred pages dedicated to images of his youth in American Fork in the early 1920's, his lineage, his wartime service, his children, his grandchildren, his time in the big-band era and of all the many instruments he has created. He then published the book himself with the help of his loving wife, Alice, and 4 daughters Gail, Connie, Lisa, and Marlaynne (spelling...sorry).

Glade has distributed copies of his book to each of his 4 daughters, 19 grandchildren and I am not sure how many great grandchildren.

Inside the front cover of my copy Glade has typed these words:

"My Dearest Grandson Paul

I am deeply honored to be able to present you this copy of your Grandfather's Life Story. I hope you will always treasure it and find some time to read it. I am proud of you for the fine young husband and father you have become and for the way you have developed your talents. You have a very bright future ahead of you and I pray that you will be able to reach your goals. I love you dearly.

Your Loving Grandfather
Glade Jorgensen"

I am sure he wrote a similar personalized message in each of the books he has distributed.

I would like to invite all who have copies of Glade's "My Life : Through The Years" autobiography to use this page to post some of their favorite experts and commentary. The era of men of which Glade was apart I have come to discover is a rare breed. This type of example needs to be passed down through all generations as to remind ourselves and our youth of the selfless nature that era possessed. There truly was a love of God, Country and Men that has not existed since.
